Hi

With UCCE - ICM version 7, how does the redundancy work, meaning, which are the processes on logger, router, ccm-pg, vru-pg which work in redundant manner, such as configlogger, histlogger or replication process.

Services

Logger-

recovery

csfs

replication

configlogger

histlogger

Router -

router

rtsvr

testsync

ccagent

mdsproc

dbagent

Distributor-

cms_jserver

updateaw

iseman

configlogger

cmsnode

replication

rtclient

rtdist

PG-

vrupim

eagtpim

opc

mdsproc

pgagent

testsync

jtapigw

ctisvr

ctiosserver

Thanks.

That's a very big question, recommend you read the SRND.

david

i have referred the srnd, however it doesnt mention the processes which actually should be checked for the redundancy. Say, in PG, we check the PIM to see which PG is active or in router we cehck mdsproc service to check which side router service is active.

In similar lines, which service do we check for the logger service, which maintains the synch between the two sides of logger servers.

Hi,

When a Peripheral Gateway goes through its startup ritual, the Node Manager on the Peripheral Gateway starts all the processes. The Peripheral Gateway has its own copy of a message delivery service. When MDS initialized, it will go into service. If it is duplex, the OPC Process will do its state transfer similar to the Router-to-Router state transfer. If the OPC can not connect to its peer, OPC will send an initialization request to a process call PGAgent. PGAgent will attempt to establish an active path to one side or another of the Central Controller. It will connect to an active path on one side and an idle path to another side.

Once an active path has been established to the Central Controller, OPC will request from the Router its configuration information. The Router will then send information back about what it wants to get from the PG: Tell me about this ACD. How many agents are there? What are their skills? Tell me about any call arrivals and termination events, etc. Once OPC receives the config from the Router, it will make the connection to the switch via a process called a PIM, or Peripheral Interface Manager. There is a different type of Peripheral Interface Manager for each type of switch that we connect to. The PIM will connect to the switch. The PIMs job is to maintain the connection to that ACD or VRU and normalize the message stream from that ACD back to the Call Router. The PIMs job is to convert ACD speak to ICR speak and pass that information along. Once the PIM connects to the switch, the OPC process will report a peripheral online status message back to the Call Router.
