HUM interface utilization not finding interfaces

When I try to configure HUM to report on interface utilization, interface discards, etc the wizard is not finding interfaces....I have successfully configured HUM to report CPU util, Memory Util, and device avail...I tested SNMP credentials and they all pass...any idea what is happening?

Exactly where are you seeing this behavior? Is it when you're defining the poller? With what type of device is this occurring?

Yes, as I go through configuring the poller. Once I select the templates I want I select next and the poller accesses the device to find interfaces and I get the Poller Summary back. However, the octet, errors and discard mibs that I chose aren't there.

The device is a Cat3560-48PS.

What version of HUM? Exactly what options did you choose in each of the poller definition screens?

HUM version 1.1.0.

Templates:

CPU Utilization

Device Availability

Environ Temp

Memory Utilization

Then I created a template for MIB-ifEntry, Octets, Discards, Errors (all in and out)

I select Poll all Instances.

Polling interval 5 minutes.

Are these user-defined templates? When I create a poller for my 3560 for system templates Interface Utilization and Interface Errors, I see all of my interfaces in the summary tree for both templates:

If you're using user-defined templates, post the details of those templates.

One of them was a user defined template, but I tried to configure using the system defined templates of Interface Utilization and Interface Errors and when I get the summary, these two templates don't even show up...the cpu, memory ones do with their appropriate interfaces.

Here is the results of my Summary, notice interface templates missing:

Instance details:

I've attached a screen shot of my Step 1 screen for configuring poller.

I can't read docx files. But I went ahead and added the other templates to my poller, and I cannot reproduce. Admittedly, I'm using HUM 1.1.2, but I do not know of a bug which would account for what you're seeing. Here is my new tree:

It would be helpful to see the running config from this 3560 as well as a packet capture of the instance polling to see why your interfaces are being left out.

Attached is the config. I'm using snoop to capture packet info...not really seeing anything, what options should I be using? Here is the command I used:

snoop -d ce0 ip(server) ip(device)

I increased the retry value and to 2 in the poller settings and then the interface data came back....problem solved. Thanks.
