hi all. I was writing an EEM applet on IOS version of 12.4(20). Following is the applet

event manager applet backup

event cli pattern "backup" sync yes

action 1.0 syslog msg "done-111"

now as you can guess, i cant delete it. if i type

no event manager applet backup

it detects "backup" keyword and runs the applet instead of deleting it. I know i made a blunder here, how can i delete this applet ?

Pls guide me

You can configure the following to temporarily disable EEM policy execution:

event manager scheduler suspend

Then you can delete your policy. then configure the following to re-enable policy execution:

no event manager scheduler suspend

In case you didn't "copy run start" after configuring the applet, "configure replace nvram:startup-config force" may be an option to overwrite the running-config with the startup config.
