Is anyone have a best way to upgrade a group of 1230 and 1231 antonomous APs.

They all don't have enough space for new code, which mean old code have to delete. Most the time they are not same code. I wonder if there is any software that we can add these APs to a list and push it out.

Use the Cisco Upgrade Tool, which can be downloaded in the wireless downloads section. It automatically upgrades your APs and does a pretty quality job at it, too.

It can be a bit cumbersome with large numbers of APs, but it gets the job done.

You can either use the upgrade tool available on CCO downloads under wireless. Or use WCS. We just used WCS and upgraded 90 1231 AP's it went very well.

I just type the command in Notepad and cut-n-paste it. Here's what I've done:

conf t

no boot sys

delete /f /r flash:

arch tar /x tftp:/// flash:
