Third Party SIP Phones

Hi,

How well the third party SIP phones work with CUCM 7.0. Are they easy to set up?

Any issues compared to Standard Cisco phones?

Third-party phones, unless required for specific purpsoes, are generally a bad idea with cisco CM.

1st, Cisco ask for dearly licensing, more that comparable cisco phones.

2nd, the features are less, incomaptible or simpy not made the Cisco way.

3rd, when these don't work, you're practically on your own.

Any third party phones, you can recommend(brand & model) which works smoothly with CUCM7.0

Not really, considering how expensive CUCM is, nobody wants to save few dollars to loose a lot of features and gain problems.

If you want cheap phones, check 3911 and 59xx.
