Where to apply 'logging event' commands?

LucaSalvatore_2

I'm putting the folllowing commands on a bunch of switches

Logging event trunk-status

Logging event spanning-tree

Logging event status

With switches that have an etherchannel configured should the commands be applied to the port-channel interface or to the seperate physical interfaces that are in the channel?

I know that some commands, when applied to the port channel get copied to the physical interface but this does not seem to be the case with the logging commands.

What does everyone think?

Hello Luca,

if you have tested this and you have seen these commands are not propagated to member links, then you should configure them under physical interfaces only.

It makes sense to have these commands under physical interfaces.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
