Does the PSIRT report only check the IOS version and Model for matches or does it actually check the configuration of the device to verify that the device is using a functionality that has the issue.

For example, if there is a PSIRT entry that indicates a vulnerability with IPv6 on a specific model device, does it check the configuration to see if the device found has IPv6 configured?

It only checks IOS versions. Config checks would need to be done using things like "Search Archive."
