The SA 500 is not yet supported as a managed device in CCA 2.1 - please see the list below for managed devices:

SA 500 is targeted to be a managed device in CCA around the Dec 09 timeframe. For now you can configure the SA500 using the embedded configuration utility - see link below on getting started:

I am afraid that this is not something I can provide a simple answer for as its not part of the SBCS portfolio. You would be best off asking this on:

You may need to check "deb isdn q931" & "deb isdn q921" to see what the cause of the disconnect is.

what's cisco target position for UC500,UC520 , UC540 and cisco 1861 cause customer will get most benefit and valuable with 28xx series, and the next will release for 29xx series.

Interesting question - I do not think we have had a lot of sales for the 28xx in the small business space (< 100 users). This does not mean you cannot use the 28xx in such deployments, with the UC500 series, the focus is more about keeping things simple with fixed hardware configuration, default configs, CCA GUI and the right price points. If you are selling the 28xx (and the new 29xx) - glad to hear that and continue doing so :).

I need some help i have the AP Cisco WAP4410N and im trying to do:

- The WAP4410N as REPEATER but without any key of encryption in windows vista and windows seven appears something about a PIN but i don't want any PIN to be shown.

Well that is easy to resolve because you click in the option to procead anyway and you connection is made but when you have a Encryption Key the first thing that appears is the PIN and you click to not use Pin but to use Encryption Key when you put the KEy is shows you an error...

The funny thing is if you put our WAP4410N as REPEATER it will work as AP . Without any AP sending the signal to it.

I just wanna do this, Aironet as AP and with an encryption KEY of 128Bits and the WAP4410N as Repeater to make the signal stronger in Blind spots coul you help me please??

Please see this article...other people have more like the same problem..;jsessionid=0A4027D016C67E31774EC9664A7A66DC.node0

Thank you i will be waiting for the response

Not working implies that you get a page not found when you login or you get nothing?

Other related posts on this issue:

If you don't get anywhere and the switch is still under warranty you should contact the Small Business Support Center at: if you haven't done so already.

I get page, and javascript engine tells me that

Msxml is installed (and is of the latest version). It's just a buggy software.

It works with IE5.5 to IE7, but not with IE8. If the software gets updated at all the hosts in our LAN, we will not be able to configure the sw... And it is really bad.

We have tested it with Windows server 2003 and IE8, with Windows XP and IE8... nothing helps. It just does not work.

Not mentioning that the sw is completely unconfigurable in UNIX-only environment... as it relies at the M$ client side "technology"...

The switch does offer CLI via console or telnet - not sure if that helps in your UNIX environment:

Based on a quick search - it appears the SRW GUI has not been tested with IE8 - we recommend using the older versions.

I will notify the product team to ensure we test IE8 on the SRW and make it compatible but for now it is a limitation.

THANK YOU very much!

Cos' it's a kinda nightmare for us at the moment...

CLI is very poor!... it only allows one to configure some basic functions... not VLANs or smth. of that kind..

We have emailed cisco tech support lots of times, and got NO answer, still, it is obvious, the web appliance is really not working with the browser (IE8).

We hope the engineers will release the new firmware... and whenever it is possible to add more functionality to the CLI part, we'd appreciate it!... And if the web interface was compatible with firefox it would be great too!

P.S. There are still some unresolved, not documented, bugs in the present web interface that revealed themselves as we tested it in IE6 and 7. Should we report them?

I see you posted the same on the Support Community forum. I would urge you to attach the info on this post there as well and also list any issues you have with:

- CLI functionality

- errors on GUI with IE6/7

I will have the appropriate folks respond on that forum

Hi Maulik, I have an issue regarding CUE and SIP Trunk.

My SIP provider requires me to register to its gateway, so I used an ephone-dn to register to the gateway.

The problem is that after configuring trunk, I cannot access CUE, as the CCME is forwarding calls that should go to CUE to the SIP Trunk.

I attach configuration, and a copy of the logs, where you can see that CUE has IP, and that CCME is trying to send the call tu which is the SIP trunk.

Thanks very much!

Hi Maulik,

We have recently installed IPphone SPA962 together with sidecar SPA932.

I am interested in finding the combined power consumption of the two parts.

In the datasheet it says SPA962 itself takes 5W, while for SPA932 the only info. is that it takes power from the IPphone itself. I need to calculate if my POE switch can support it.

1 Expansion Module with all the LED turned on consumes an additional 1.65W. If you add 2 of them, it will consume 3.3W

One more issue with Linksys SRW248G4:

One is NOT able to add a port to many untagged VLANs...

No, you may... but it will NOT work: all the untagged packets go to the PVID VLAN, configured for the port.

This way, we are not able to have a multihomed (with many IPs) host with one physical NIC not supporting tagging.

The question is:

Will this be corrected in a new firmware release?..

Cos' all known, even the most primitive, sw, offering even only port-based VLANs, allow one to add a port to multiple VLANS.
