Can I use wildcard masks in network command on 12.0 software

hello. started studying for BSCI test. I have 3 routers 1 running 12.2 the other 2 running 12.0. the 2 12.0 routers will not accept wildcard masks with the network command. i am using the teare/paquet bsci book (3rd edt) example 3-4 on page 94. after router eigrp 109 (enter) network 10.1.0.0 0.0.255.255 i get invalid imput detected at the first

0. int s1 ip address is 10.1.1.1 255.255.0.0. and is in up and up state. tbere is no problem on the 12.2 router. this version limitation is not mentioned in the book and i have done several internet searches and not found any help for this. can someone please help.

According to the command reference the wildcard mask was added for EIGRP in the 12.0T train. I assume that your routers are probably running 12.0 mainline (or perhaps very early 12.0T).
