Has anybody seen an issue where you are unable to enter global QoS commands on the 4500E chassis? We're using 12.2(53)SG. If I go to 'conf t', there is no 'qos' command. In the configuration manuals I've seen for the 4500, the following commands seem to be supported:
qos
qos trust dscp
qos dbl
qos dbl exceed-action ecn
qos map dscp 0 to tx-queue 2
qos map dscp 8 10 12 14 to tx-queue 1
qos map dscp 16 18 20 22 to tx-queue 4
qos map dscp 24 26 28 30 to tx-queue 4
qos map dscp 34 36 38 to tx-queue 4
qos map dscp 32 46 to tx-queue 3
qos map dscp 48 56 to tx-queue 4
qos map dscp policed 0 10 18 24 32 34 46 to dscp 8
What am I missing?

Have you reviewed http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst4500/12.2/53SG/configuration/qos.html#wp1474085 ?
I haven't worked with this supervisor, but it looks like the QoS model, MQC, supported may be different from prior 4500 sups.

Thanks for your help!! I've got everything done, but the port channel and channel group members.
...and thanks to Cisco for completely changing things...again.

Networkgod....could you by chance show a snap shot of you QoS config on the 4500 WS-X45-SUP6L-E ?
I'm having the same issue are you are having with this Sup.
