Solved: Turn CM Pub into Sub

Hi,

is there any way to turn a CM Pb into Sub. I have this problem because a electric failure I have had to reinstall the sub, but due to version incompatibility I have installed the server as a Pub out my cluster. How can I turn tnis server that is running as Pub out my cluster into Sub inside my cluster?

You only define whether a server is a PUB or a SUB during install.

You need to reinstall the server to turn it into a SUB

I have a backup of the system when it was the sub, if I apply the restore procedure would it work?

Hello Juan,

As Java mentioned, you can't turn a pub into sub without formatting the server and reinstalling UCM.

Find out what version of CUCM your backup was created in, and then install your server to that same version. Then, restore your data.
