¿Is it posible to use VPN on MDs CISCO 9509? We have version 3.0(2) but we are going to upgrade to 3.3(3).
Thanks in advance.

If by VPN you mean 'virtual private network' then no the MDS does not partake in VPN. You can access the MDS over a VPN connection to access the management for for SSH, Telnet, Fabric or Device Manager, but the MDS itself is totally unaware of what VPN is or that it is, or is not, being used to access it.
Hope this helps,
Mike

Sorry. We are talking about NPV (N-Port Virtualization). Sorry for the confusion.

Okay...that's makes more sense. The 9509 can act as an NPIV switch to an edge switch like a 9124 or 9134 that is the NPV switch.
Here is a link to the NPV configuration documentation.
Hope this helps,
Mike

Thanks a lot.
We upgrade core switches yesterday to 3.3(3), but doesn't work yet. We see the end blade (WWN) in the FLOGI tag of the F-port connected to the N-port, but we cannot add them to any zone via FM. They doesn't appear in "zone by: WWN" and nothing appear in "zone by: NPV Virtual Port".
We don't know if the problem became becasue the edge switch is in a network (ethernet) that is unreacheable by the core switches (where run FM). We'll try to change this.
Thanks again.
