MVPN error message

Hi all,

I am getting this error message in RP router.

027609: Oct 14 09:05:14.432 GMT: %PIM-6-INVALID_RP_JOIN: VRF cctv: Received (*, 225.86.67.83) Join from 172.30.0.176 for invalid RP 10.160.255.3

Basicaly my multicast IP range is 239.160 not the 225.86.67.83,I am not able to trace from where this joining request coming.And these message is keep coming from all PE router.

Can you guys assist me to solve this issue.

The message is coming from CE end. The rp which you have configured for CE is not falling in the group. Try to make rp for default group for specific vrf then the message will be eliminated (only for testing).

It is suspected that some kind of filtering is going on on the RP.

Thanks for the response,I was missed rp config on PE router,I was cross checking wethear I am getting RP.I found that RP information is not getting,so I enable th following command and it resolve the issue.

ip pim vrf cctv autorp listener
