Dear all,

Our customer has a problem of Blocker which has blocked the Excel File which contains macro inside there.

He doesn't enable the content filtering feature in (Mail Policies --> Incoming Mail Policies --> Content Filters (Disabled)

This is actually a Non-Delivery Report. The cause of NDR is "MS-Office file
containing VBA macros found inside of the email".

Maybe your office is blocking zip file.

Do anyone know how to fix it?

Regards,

Joe Tam

Have you checked the mail logs for that peace of mail. Is it creating a DCID and is that DCID being closed?

Dear Sir,

What is the differenet and how to handle in both case?

Regards,

Joe tam

Hi JoeTam,

A little research on the error you are receiving seems to point to that NDR being the respnose of a firewall with the ability to inspect SMTP sessions. This syntax you provided seems to commonly come from SonicWall appliances. If you happen to have a SonicWall appliance in front of the Blocker, try this:

  1. Login to the SonicWall
  2. Security Services
  3. Gateway Antivirus
  4. Configure Gateway AV Settings
  5. Check the box that says "Disable SMTP Responses"

If you do not have a Sonicwall or similar firewall appliance, please let us know and we'll see what else could be causing the NDR.
