Transfer problem with IPset 524G.

Hi all, I have a little problem with an 524G set. When I'm on a call another receive another one, at the same time, if I try to transfer the first one after I dial the extension number he makes, automatically, a blind transfer. If I make or receive a call and no other call is waiting when I transfer I can do a consult before transfer. Is this a limitation of the set since I cant put more that 2 call on the same button - max-calls-per-button 2 ?

Is there a work around for this?

This is the prime set and the operator wants all the time to announce the calls before transfer.

Hi Jose',

This made me curious myself.

I think you may have found an operation that is consistent across all phones on UC500.

I just tried it on my UC500 running latest default release and on my  CP524 I saw what you saw.

Then I tried it on a C7945 and the same behavior.

With only one call it works consultatively.  But not with two (it goes blind as you saw).

This call control is indeed different from traditional Cisco CM which does allow consultative hold for multiple calls when active.

I think we need to either have the Business Unit team comment as to the design intent or open a case if this is different from advertised function.

Hi Steve, thanks for your short reply.

So, should I wait for the business team to say something or is better to open a TAC?

OK, I spoke to the team.   I feel silly ;-)

Since its a dual line, there are only two calls for that DN.  We cant have a third call or a consultative hold.

So per design.  No TAC case.

I changed my config to Octo Line (on my 7945) and it worked as they explained.

The CP52x does not support octo-line so that wont work there.....

Thanks Steve for your reply, it's make since since is a dual line only, but do you know any feature that we can make a workaround to this? Maybe hunting to another key on the same set, when the first one is busy; tried but all the time thesystem says I have a call waiting on the first button. Maybe I made a wron config :(

Jose Carlos

You could do an overlay.

Say you have extension 201.  You could have huntstop channel on and have it ring another dn with ext 201.

This can't be done in CCA, but would give you the result you are looking for.
