Solved: installing all components on single server

Hi!

I am trying to install all components (VSOM, VSMS, VSVM) on single host. Is it possible? Where can I find instructions how to do it? There is the separate installation guides for each service, but, it seems, when installing all services consequently, they are stopping to work.

Hi,

Yes you can install all 3 on the same server as long as it meets the Hardware requierments.

Install the VSMS 1st, then the VSOM, and the VSVM last. The VSOM guide has steps for installing on the same server as the VSMS.

Hi,

If you open a terminal window from the folder where all the .RPM files are all you need to do is run the follwoing;

rpm -ivh Cisco*

this will install everything in the right order and will resolve any dependancys. You will have to make sure the OS install is done first with Java etc.
