How to free space on FLASH for a new IOS

Dear All,

In an attempt to upgrade an IOS the following error was reported on the TFTP "ERR:Image size exceeds free flash space"

How then can i free space in order to be able to upgrade this IOS?.

The machine is 2611XM with MAX RAM. The image size is just 24,753 KB.

Please help!!

to free up space you can delete the existing image from flash by running the command below.

delete flash:"image name"
