Hi,
I am trying to configure night service for a remote office on CME. I have configured the night service calendar and code as below:
night-service code *888
night-service day Mon 17:00 08:59
night-service day Tue 17:00 08:59
night-service day Wed 17:00 08:59
night-service day Thu 17:00 08:59
I have also configured the ephone-dn with the following:
ephone-dn 10 octo-line
number 310
huntstop
huntstop channel 8
call-forward busy 6000
call-forward noan 6000 timeout 20
call-forward night-service 5000
call-waiting beep
night-service bell
pickup-group 99
I have two questions on the above:
1 - Does the receptionist have to dial the night-service code to activate the service, or will it automatically kick in outside of the working hours specified in the calendar?
2 - Do I need the night-service bell command?

Guys,
I solved the problem that I was having. Just FYI in case you have to set it up:
The service doesn't kick in automatically at the end of the business day, you have to activate it from the phone.
When I dialled the night service code into the extension that was set up I would get the number unattainable tone.
I had added night-service bell command to the ephone-dn, but I hadn't added it to the ephone. This now allows the extension/phone to activate the service.

Night service should kick in automatically. It does for me.
I got the following config:

At first I also thought my night service wans't kicking in automatically, but that was because of my router time. It's 2 hours ahead.
All the ephone-dn's have night service bell configured and all calls are forwarded to 1023. 1023 receives all the night service bells.

Configure the correct clock timezone and time will be right.
