SIP CME g729 codec support

Hi,

Does anybody know if the SIP CME supports g729 codec in voice register pool?

I mean you can put it there but my phones (which are both g729) cannot talk to one another, I hear silence (711 works fine). I tried implementing transcoder and having one phone g711 and another g729 and it is still acting strange...

Anyone knows of any known issues?

Which phones are these? If non cisco, you are on your own, if you can figure out the problem yourself all good, otherwise you're OOL.

Hi,

They are 7940 and 7960 with P0S3-8-12-00. BTW what does OOL stand for?

IOS is 12.4.24T

Out Of Luck :)

Recommend you convert the phones to SCCP and they will work no fault.
