how do i soft reboot or soft restart the CUCM and Unity express manager without having to go to the back and pulling the cable out and using the power on and off switch etc ..
please advise

Another quick question please ..
once shutting down the CM softly , i see the cm does shut down completely as the lights on front of the CM is still blinking , i dont have a monitor attached , but how do i know its shut down ? and how long does normally take to fully shut down ?
i see on the cisco documentation it says " the hardware does not power down automatically"
please advise , thank you

Yes you have to manually power off the hardware. You can use ping test or if you have monitor connected, it will display you that system is shutdown.
