CCNA expire

Sir, I had passed my CCNA in March 2003 which is expired & Can I appear directly to CCNP exam or I have to need to give CCNA exam first and then CCNP papaers.

Secondly, Can I appear directly for CCNA security exam

Hi Deepak,


It doesn't matter what order the exams are taken in here. The "standard" path may be to take the CCNA first follwed by the CCNP exams to achieve the CCNP cert. But in truth these can be taken in any order as long as they are completed within 3 years from the start of the first CCNP exam. The CCNA can be first, middle or end but as long as they are all successfully passed you will be awarded the fine CCNP Certification :)


You are free to take the CCNP exams but you will not be certified as a CCNP without a valid CCNA cert as a prerequisite, this also applies to the CCNA-Security:(
