Hi,
I'm using a Cisco 2821 with CCME on IOS 12.4(24)T1 with SCCP to the phones and a SIP proxy for PSTN access. The phones are 7940s and 7960s.
When a user hits the DND button they can turn it on but not back off. Hitting the DND button a second time does nothing. Here is some info on a phone with the problem.
Cisco 2821
CCME
12.4(24)T1
ephone-dn 21 dual-line
number 8730 no-reg both
label John Doe 8730
description John Doe
name John Doe
allow watch
call-forward busy 8999
call-forward noan 8999 timeout 23
ephone 21
description John Doe
mac-address 001B.XXXX.XXXX
ephone-template 1
username "John Doe" password null
type 7940
button 1:21
pin 12345
ephone-template 1
softkeys hold Newcall Resume
softkeys idle Newcall Redial Cfwdall Pickup
softkeys seized Redial Endcall Cfwdall Meetme
softkeys alerting Endcall
softkeys connected Hold Endcall Trnsfer Confrn
keepalive 60
type 7940
Any ideas or help is appreciated.
Thanks.

I've heard of this already and suspect is a bug.
You can try for example, 12.4(22)YB4, same CME 7.1.

Hi Jamie,
Kindly i don't find the DND softkey in your ephone-template 1
A same scenario occur in SIP registered phones if it is enabled on configuration but not existing in the softkeys, but I see you are using sccp
So I think you can try it with a default template that I have the same ios version with the same 2821 but didn't face this issue
