1811 Router as Two Internet load balancer + VPN Server

Unanswered Question

I am trying to configure my Cisco 1811 Router as Internet Load Balancer,

It has 2 WAN ports and 8 L2 Ports,

2 WANs will be using for 2 Internet connection

1 L2 port will be using for Internal connectivity,

I configured vlan1 for inside

One Internet connection has Live IP address and Soft VPN Server should be configured on that interface,

the other WAN interface has DSL connection,

I am having a problem in solving this issue, I should apply NAT on both WAN interfaces,

when two internet connections work fine, my soft VPN dont connects, but as soon I Down that interface,, my VPN connects successfully,

please advise,,

I have this problem too.

Hello Junaid,

post a filtered version of your C1811 configuration changing public ip addresses in private ip addresses or using letters like x.y.z.k

remove also usernames/pwds

only guess is that NAT configuration has to take in account the VPN connection and it has to avoid to translate it.

Also you could face a problem of asymmetrical routing that is a different internet path is used by VPN return traffic and this breakes the VPN.

When only one internet link is working the VPN works too.

Hope to help
