Hi all,

I'm just looking in to turning jumbo frames on, on our SGE2000 but i'm only going to be using it on a single VLAN and it appears to be a global setting.

Will this be an issue?

Thanks,

Ian

Enabling Jumbo frames on your switch should not be of issue, just keep in mind that it is enabled Globally as you state so you can't inhibit it to only a single VLAN, however it should not create any problems on any other VLANs if that's what you're asking.

Hi Glenn,

Thanks for your reply. I suppose my main worry is that enabling jumbo frames is going to have an affect on the other vlans which are not using it.

Thanks again,

Ian
