we implemented some fwsm firewalls on our campus. This firewalls runs in roúted mode. For Wake on Lan we need ip direct broadcasts from the outside interface to the inside interface. Is there a way to configure this? Until now, everybody told me this is not possible, except for DHCP, EIGRP.., but not for Wake on Lan.

Wake on Lan uses 255.255.255.255 broadcast right? i believe DHCP relay agent should allow the fwsm to relay the broadcast through the fwsm..you need to configure ACLs that allows requests from the inside interface to the outside.

Hi,
but is this broadcast for dhcp not opened only for UDP Port 68 ?
Wake on LAN uses other ports ?

Mike,
Were you ever able to get wake on lan to work through the FWSM?
