Voicemail question

Hi,

I have CUCM 5 and Unity 5

- Our reception have the pilot point 1000

- Calls then go to hunt group members: 1001 , 1002,...1012 and finally to 5000 (which is voicemail)

What I want to achieve is simple:

After calls go to PP 1000 and if reception is not logged on AC or all lines are busy-> go to voicemail(hear the reception prompt and let users leave a message)

- formward the message then to the two receptionists (MWI should go on).

Is there a simple way to achieve this?

Yes. Setup a voicemail account for 1001 and make 1002 an alternate extension for this voicemail box. This is assuming 1001 and 1002 are the DNs for the two receptionists.

Just so I understand this correctly.

I have two recepcionist, each one have 5 lines assigned to their 7960 phones:

A: 1001, 1003, 1005, 1007, 1009

B: 1002, 1004, 1006, 1008, 1010

PP goes to 1001 then 1002..etc the last number is 5000.

So i have to create a voicemail in unity with the number 1001 and add alternate extention 1002? is that correct?

How do I do the routing from 5000 to the created voicemail?

Yes, that is correct. Then, when either receptionist presses the messages button on their phone, they will be taken to this mailbox and prompted for password. You can also make 5000 an alternate extension for this voicemail box so when a message is forwarded from 5000 it will go to the correct box.
