Dear Support Team,

One of our customers needs to use non standard SIP port for registration, precisely 5120.

He is using SPA942 IP phones(fw. 6.1.5) and SPA8000 ATA.

After changing this SIP port in the Ext1 to 5120 the phone doesn't register to SIP server. Is there any other parameter that should be changed?

SIP server is configured properly as other devices like Thomson IP phones work on this port without any problem.

I've attached configuration of the SPA942 IP phone and logs from phone:

Out of curiosity, has that port been forwarded back to the SPA942 already?

  • Cisco Employee,

Dear Sir;

You changed the SIP port on the wong place (this parameter is used to affect/change the internal SIP port, not the external), please get back the port to 5060.

Instead, please add in the proxy address the port to use, e.g. proxy.cisco.com:5120. That would make the trick.

Regards
Alberto
