Cat 6500, Sup720: Logging to File

Hi everybody

Small question: Is there a way for a Catalyst 6500, Sup 720 to write Syslogs to a file as well?

On our Access Switches, we have the config-statement:

logging file flash:/system.log 2048000 notifications

but, on our Core-Switches, 'logging file' seems not to be possible... (running s72033-advipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-18.SXF15a.bin)

No, this is not yet available on the 6500 series.

The last I have heard there is no plan to extend this support to Cat6500 or Cat4500 series switches. I suggest you talk to your account team to get them to file a Product Enahcement Request (PERS) on your behalf.
