H-REAP and Vlan mappings

Hi folks

I have a 1131-AG accesspoint and a 4402 WLC running 6.0.182 software.

I've configured the access-point as a H-REAP AP, and configured 2 local switched Wlan's and 1 central switched Wlan on the access-point.

This worked fine - until I booted my access-point - it did never reach the WLC again (or - it did, but lost the connection).

I did some troubleshooting, and found out:

-With the Native Vlan set to 400 - the access-point switches from Fa0 to Fa0.400 with the enc dot 400 native set.

-When adding one SSID - it still works after reboot etc.

-When adding the second SSID - it fails!

The problem is that the configuration now says: enc dot 400 (with NO native argument).

This means that the AP looses connection to the network after initial config is done by the WLC...

Anyone seen this before, and does it have a fix?

Best Regards

Hi all,

Think i figured it out - looks like it was my SSID mapping to Vlan 17 that made the trouble!

Looks like Vlan 17 is for internal use...
