Enabling IGMPv2 Compatibility on 6509

The issue is a bit tricky, we have two multicast queriers, one that requests using v3, and one that requests using v2.

If at anytime the v2 membership is requested, the v3 membership will halt 3-5 minutes later.

Is there a way to allow both memberships to co-exist?

The following is the vlan configuration:

interface Vlan<removed>

description <removed>

ip address <removed> 255.255.254.0

ip pim dense-mode

ip multicast ttl-threshold 2

ip igmp version 3

ip igmp explicit-tracking

ipv6 address 2007::/64 eui-64

ipv6 dhcp server <removed>

And here is the version info:

Hello Shandon,

I would suggest to use

debug ip icmp

to understand what is happening.

to be noted your IOS release is rather old.

I will try to search with bug toolkit.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
