I have ER 7.0 with a UCM 7.0. I have started to configur the ER but am having some troubles. The ER has found all my switches and ports but no phones attatched. I have checked all the software/hardware to make sure it is all supported. With this brief info is there something I'm missing??

Hi Lyle,

This could be CDP related. Have a browse through this good doc;

Troubleshooting Phones in Cisco Emergency Responder

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_tech_note09186a00801a4231.shtml

Hope this helps!

Rob

I have gone through that doc with my co-worker and found nothing. I must be missing one step in the configuration. It just won't see the phones but the ER locates the switches and switch ports.

Its probably not talking to CUCM. Did you turn on SNMP on the CUCM servers? And also add in the CUCM servers SNMP to your "switches" on CER?

Also, it may find them, they are just unallocated. The search is a little goofy in CER. It does not hurt also to reboot the server or start/stop the CER services.

But check your SNMP settings for Pub/Sub and add those servers into your SNMP

Perfect thank you for the info, it helped us look around and yes it was an snmp setting within CER. Thank you once again.
