bridge mode

Hi,

i am connecting firewall to my network,so i making my router as bridge mode. All the vpn,natting i configured my firewall.I configured like

Bridge 1 protocol ieee

bridge 1 irb

int gig0/0

bridge-group 1

int gig0/1

bridge 0/1

int bvi1

ip add 192.168.1.252 255.255.248.0

If i connect my router i am not able to browse the internet.

What would be the benefit of having the router so configured ?

Even if it was to work, it would not be doing anything.
