Hi,

Is there anyway to get call pickup or directed call pickup working on CCM4.1 with a VG248?

If not is there any alternative?

Cheers...

Hi Carl,

Call Pickup should work, I just tried it out in our lab to verify :)

The default settings for the VG248 feature codes are as follows:

Hang up last call #1

Transfer #2

Conference #3

Drop Last Conference Party #4

Forward all to voice mail **0

Call forward all **1

Cancel call forward **2

Pickup **3

Group Pickup **4

Redial *#

Malicious Call Identification ***

SpeedDial Voicemail *0

SpeedDial 1 *1

SpeedDial 2 *2

SpeedDial 3 *3

SpeedDial 4 *4

SpeedDial 5 *5

SpeedDial 6 *6

SpeedDial 7 *7

SpeedDial 8 *8

SpeedDial 9 *9

My mistake that should be call park...

Hey Carl,

No worries my friend :) Sadly, Directed Call Park, which is supported with the VG248 was not added until the release of CCM 4.2(x). Call Park requires an IP Phone with display to identify the Park # so this won't work with the VG248;

System Requirements for Directed Call Park

To operate, Directed Call Park requires the following software component:

•Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6.0 or later

A user can park and retrieve a call by using directed call park from any phone that can perform a transfer including Cisco Unified IP Phones 7905, 7912, 7920, 7940, 7960, and 7970. Cisco VG248 Analog Phone Gateways also support directed call park.

The following SCCP and SIP phones support directed call park BLF:

•Cisco Unified IP Phones (7941, 7961, 7970, 7971)

The following SCCP phones support directed call park BLF:

•Cisco Unified IP Phones (7905, 7912, 7920, 7940, 7960)

•Cisco Unified IP Phone Expansion Module 7914

System Requirements for Call Park

To operate, call park requires the following software component:

•Cisco Unified Communications Manager 5.0 or later

The following SCCP and SIP phones support call park with the Park softkey in the Standard User and Standard Feature softkey templates:

•Cisco Unified IP Phones (7941, 7961, 7970, 7971)

The following SCCP phones support call park with the Park softkey in the Standard User and Standard Feature softkey templates:

•Cisco Unified IP Phones (7905, 7912, 7920, 7931, 7940, 7960)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Note You can configure Call Park on any line (except line 1) or button by using the programmable line key feature.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following SCCP phones support call park with the Call Park button on the phone button template:

•Cisco Unified IP Phone 30 (30 SP+ and 30 VIP)

•Cisco Unified IP Phone 12 (12 S, 12 SP, 12 SP+)

•Cisco Unified IP Phone 7910

Hope this helps!

Thanks for that Rob. So no alternative or similar feature with 4.1?
