Can not send Fax Msg on ATA 186 connected to CUCM 7

We have a client who has a fax machine connected to their ATA 186 that is configured in thier CUCM 7. No problem with incoming and outgoing calls, it can receive fax messages from PSTN. The problem is it can not send fax messages, the status is connecting until it this disconnects.

Actions done:

1.) upgraded the ATA 186 to the latest firmware version.

2.) adjustments had been done already on the ATA side.

3.) tried another brand of fax machine and connect it to the ATA 186.

Still no luck.. Any comments and suggestions are highly appreciated..

Is it a G3 fax? G3 faxes don't like ATA's and only work when you turn off ECM (error correction mode) on the fax. See http://www.voipmechanic.com/faxsettings.htm.

You could also try tweaking the AudioMode parameter of the ATA-186. I've set some to 0x00260026 and the ConnectMode to 0x90002480 which worked fine.
