We are about to embark on a speech connect install, we are hoping to use this as a "speech recognition" app. in that not only will we have subscribers names but also various departments...

? is, hads any one out there done this and any pro's and con's one can think of??

Speech connect is designed to allow callers to say the employee name or a department name. I've doen this quite a few times, it works great. Just make sure to import employees from the Speech Connect server itself. It doesnt work well over http.
