Dead Air/Unknown calls

I would like to get the communities feed back on this issue.

Certain users within our company (mostly linked to 800 numbers) continue to receive dead air phone calls. Is there a standard way of dealing with these calls?

I know that with an H323 environment you can block the number if you know the called number; however, our entire environment is setup as MGCP.

Do you guys have FXOs?

Enable CDR in CUCM

Check timestamps with CDR reports and contact Telco.

If the calls are from specific numbers you could configure a translation pattern to match the calling number and change the called number to a pilot for a Unity or UCCX message stating unsolicited 0800 calls are unwelcome. Tue, 10/27/2009 - 12:41

Thank you for the idea, Could you give me a little more detail on how to create a translation pattern based on calling party? I see a section called "calling party transformations" however I am not sure how to set it up.
