MWI Issue

We are running unity connection 7.0 on the lab and trying to integration with exchange 2003. We have run into a problem with MWI not coming. When a message is received the MWI light does not come. I clicked a run button synchronize MWIs manually on the phone system. It did not work.

Has anyone run into this?

I have this problem too.

Hi -

In the Message Actions of the user, are you coding Relay the message only, or also sending a copy to the Unity Connection mailstore? If you are relaying a message only to user's primary email address in Exchange, this action does NOT trigger MWI. In Unity Connection, you must send to user's Unity Connection mailstore to get MWI. You can configure IMAP from user's Outlook to create new UC inbox, which is a different Outlook folder. This triggers MWI correctly and still affords the user the ability to see voice message in Outlook. Install ViewMail for Unity Connection client. The other Message Action is to send copy to UC mailstore as well as relay to user's email address. MWI works but user gets two copies of message.

Hi -

As a second thought, it wouldn't hurt to check your MWI partition in your CUCM server, make sure this is coded correctly.
