PBR Cisco 3750

WE have created a route map

route-map test=rm permit 10

match ip address 40

set ip next-hop 10.10.10.10

Originally we attempted to assign it to an interface with little suceess and read where we had to do sdm prefer routing. We executed the SDM prefer routing statement and reset the device. Again it is a Cisco3750 running advance c3750-advipservicesk9-mz.122-35.se1.bin.

After doing so, we re-issued the route-map statements to ensure they were completed after the sdm prefer routing policy and then issued an interface gig 1/0/0 and then a ip policy route-map test-rm. WE could not put this command on an interface.

I am not sure why and I was hoping someone could tell me the error of my ways. We need on route-map with multiple permits in an ACL.

I would appreciate any help getting this process working.

THank you

Dwane,

You can enable PBR on a routed port or an SVI.

What about g1/0/0?

Hello Dwane,

you need to put the command under a L3 interface the command cannot be put on a L2 port.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
