Corporate Directory

I am running 2 clusters, CM 4.1.3 and CM 6.1.2, I am trying to set the Directory URL for the phones on the 4x cluster to point to the URL of the 6x cluster which is AD integrated.

I can get the 6x URL to work via a Phone service, but it doesnt work as a URL in the Phone>Directories setting.

Any ideas as to if this can work without using an IP Phone Service?

Not in 4.1.

In newer versions of UCM you can specify a service to be a Directory-type service and move it under the Directory button. This wasn't present in that version though.
