Can the UCS servers be used instead of MCS servers for Voice applications?

I was wondering if there are any plans to use the UCS 200/250 servers to replace the MCS servers?

I'm no authority on this subject, but I know callmanager is focusing on working in a virutalized environment in the future.

It would make sense for us to eat our own dog food wouldn't it?

Someone may have some more details and timelines, but I'm pretty sure this is well on it's way.

Thanks for the response. It would be nice to hear officially that this is the/a direction. We are looking to upgrade lab equipment and investing in the UCS200/250 instead of another MCS is what we are debating.

I have confirmed this is in the plans, and actually a very big effort behind it.

I cannot speak to dates as a lot of the details are under NDA. You will hear more about it when the covers come off sometime early next year.
