2 circuits failover????

Hello,

Can you guys tell me what is the best way to set this up.

We have 2 circuits connected to our DMVPN router.

a) Primary circuit is used for DMVPN/internet browsing (38.99.x.x on port gi0/1)

b) secondary circuit will be used for internet browsing should primary goes down. (206.191.x.x on port fa0/0/0).

I am not sure how to configure it so when the primary fails the secondary circuit will allow internet browsing only.

I configured the tunnels etc to use the primary circuit.

Any suggestions?

thx

Hello Kimraj,

if the second circuit is not to be used to provide access to the intranet via a second DMVPN cloud; all you need is a floating static route that will not used until better (with lower AD) default routes exist either received in the DMVPN or pointing to primary circuit.

example:

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 206.191.x.y 201

this should be enough.

You probably need to configure NAT to provide internet access.

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Thanks, i make the changes and try it out.

Much appreciated
