Is Full Text Search indexing required for Unity 5,0 with SQL 2000 DS?

We have installed SQL 2000 data store on our secondary unity 5.0 server and got a message that the Full Text Search indexing service didn't install properly. The Cisco TAC are not sure if this is a problem or not. We continued with the Unity install successfully without remediating FTS indexing, but are concerned that we may run into a problem in the future. Can anyone provide a definitive answer on this case?

While I don't know the definitive answer to the question of what the lasting impacts would be (maybe someone else can offer some insight), Microsoft has steps to manually re-install Full Text Search:

I found that customers have both completely re-installed SQL and/or followed the above doc.
