Botched Password Recovery on ASA 505

Hi all, I goofed on the ASA password recovery (http://www.ciscosystems.ch/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa71/configuration/guide/trouble.html#wp1058131)

Now when I boot the ASA the firewall boots into rommon0

If I type boot it will load the default config, but not my original config that I performed the password reset on, which was successful.

From rommon0# (typing boot)

It boots to ciscoasa#

I can then "copy startup-config running-config"

Which brings me to my original config (with the enable password being reset)

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

My configuration register is set to 0x00000001

Once you boot into the OS, you can enter the value. Save the config and reboot.

ciscoasa(config)# config-register 0x00000001

This is from my lab box and it's a 5505. Yours may not be the same so try it at your own risk.

Hope it helps.
