Dear all
I have an ACS cd 4.1(1) build 23. I need to know how many different ACS can I installed. Each ACS differe from the other.
If I can install many different ACS, can I do a replication between these different ACSs or the replication candone only between two ACSs.
Thanks,

Hi,
As per the software contract you should only use the installation kit for one machine only.
As far as replication is concerned, yes you can configure replication between several ACS's.

Dear JK
Thanks for your reply.
Is the CD comes for one server by default even if the other ACS will be the secondary for only 1 primary ACS.
My Senario is that I have 4 different locations and I have only 1 ACS CD. I want to install one ACS server in each location. The primary one will be in the HO. The other locations will have only secondary ACS doing a replication with the primary.
Thanks for your help.

Dear JK
Also, while the installation of the ACS, it doesn't request any license key for the activation. So, how cisco knows that the software is already installaed on another server.
Thanks,

Amady,
During installation ACS does not ask for any license or key. If you have the software, it can be installed on any machine n number of times.
Without license you cant get any further updates, since ACS software's are not listed on this site.

Hi Amady,
Thats correct...ACS for Windows doesn't require any kind of license/ serial number/ key. As you have the ACS installation kit for windows, you simply need to install it on supported Microsoft platform, it won't ask for any key or license.
However, At any given point of time you can run this software on one platform. The single contract can not be used to install ACS on multiple machines in your production network.
You may refer below listed link before installing it.
