unable to access back-end web servers

We're configuring the ACE SM and can;t seem to access the backend servers on certain ports (7774, 44440) from the server sitting on the VIP vlan in front of the ACE. We have applied the "ip access-list any any" to both interfaces on the ACE, but to no avail.

Would the ACE possibly filter this acces even with the above mentioned access-list defined?

Thanks..

no.

If you permit the traffic it should go through.

Are you trying to access directly the server ? or you going through a vip ?

direclty to the server...the servers' default gateway is the ACE servers' vlan interface.

thanks..

you can do a 'show conn' and see if there is a connection entry when you try to access the server.

Sniff on the server and see if there is any traffic coming in.

Is the interface bridged ?
