IPMA and 7985 Phone

I have some managers with 7985 and I need to know if I can configure the IPMA for them.7.1(2)

I referred to Cisco Unified Communications Manager Features and Services Guide

The following phones that are running SCCP support Cisco Unified Communications Manager Assistant:

•Cisco Unified IP Phone 7970/71

•Cisco Unified IP Phone 7960/61

•Cisco Unified IP Phone 7940/41

as you can see the document is not updated well, So any body tested it 798

7985 is not supported by IPMA and the information provided in the links

(for IPMA documentation) is correct.

There was a confusion between phone and IPMA teams because of which you

see a contradiction between their docs.

The reason that IPMA does not support these phones is - not enough lines

to configure phones for Manager/Assistant. Though there are ways to have more lines in the model but User experience as a whole gets affected,

due to which IPMA does not has any immediate plan to provide support for

these phones.
