CCNA Recertification

Unanswered Question

Hello everyone,

A couple of questions and comments.

My CCNA certification is up in March of 2010 and I'm looking to recertify. Can't believe its been 3 years...

1.) I think I'm going to take the ICND2 640-816 test. Just to verify will this test keep my certification current?

2.) Any recommendations on the book to read for the test or software?

3.) I still have the old CCNA books from 2005 by Wendell Odom. Will the old books be of any help or should definitly go with the new versions? I'm sure there is some new material

Thanks for your help,

Matt

I have this problem too.

1) yes it does. The rule is that any exam of an equal or higher level renews the expiration date of everything. A good example is that any 640 level exam renews the expiration date of all the other 640 exams.

Regarding questions 2) & 3) I would recommend you go to the Cisco Learning network for the most up-to date info and the proper materials for each exam.

hth, good luck on your next exam.
