Hi Engineers,

Anybody can give a step by step document on how to restore my CCM publisher,

I got an error before booting up the server

Windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or

corrupt:

\WINNT\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEMced startup options for Windows 2000, press

F8.

You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows 2000 Setup using

the original Setup floppy disk or CD-ROM Select 'r' at the first screen

to start repair.

There is a document called a "SAME SERVER RECOVERY" but it did not tells you what to do from the start to the finished.

Can anybody help, Please..

Thank you very much,

this error message is an existing defect,

This defect happens on all the servers running MCS OS versions 2000.2.6 SR 2 and below.

Any servers that have 2000.2.6 SR3 and above installed or 2000.2.7 and above installed

will not see this problem.

Try this workaround,

Delete these registry keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\ControlSet001\Control\DeviceClasses\{28d78fad-5a12-

11d1-ae5b-0000f803a8c2}

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\ControlSet002\Control\DeviceClasses\{28d78fad-5a12-

11d1-ae5b-0000f803a8c2}

and

Add these registry values:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal

Server\WinStations\RDP-Tcp\fDisableCpm = 1

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal

Server\WinStations\RDP-Tcp\fDisableLPT = 1

Hi Virverma,
