How do I test the "SA" and "DC Directory" passwords?

I am adding a new subscriber to a Call Manager 4.2(3) Cluster, and during the setup, I have to enter the passwords for the following...

- SA (SQL Server system administrator) password

- Directory Manager (DC Directory) password

- Private Password Phrase for the Cluster

I have a password for each one, and I think it is correct, but I have no way to know for sure.

Is there somewhere I can go on the Publisher or on any of the existing Subscribers to test the password that I have for each of these three?

Thanks,

David

Hi David,

I would just go ahead and use the ones that you have. If there is a problem the install will let you know and you can use the tool shown below to re-sync the passwords;

This tool should only be used during Off-Production Hours.

From this excellent Tech Note;

Thank you very much Rob.

From your links, I also found a click through to this link: http://www.ciscotaccc.com/kaidara-advisor/voice/showcase?case=K20914488

It covers the SA account, which is very handy.

Thanks again!

David
