qsig PRI time slips

I have a 2651 with a PRI tie line to an Avaya IP office and I see pretty consistent time slips on the T1 controller. The Avaya is clocking off of its PSTN PRI and I am clocking internal. Is there anyway to eliminate the slips entirely? The users are complaining about calls cutting out, and the QOS looks solid so I wanted to check this.

Do you have the following commands in the config:

network-clock-participate wic 0

network-clock-select 1 T1 0/1

If not, try adding them.

With clocking set to Internal, you will be trying to drive clock on that PRI toward the Avaya...if the Avaya is also driving clock, you may see slipping.

If the Avaya is driving the clock, set the clocking to Line on the T1 controller so the timing will be derived from the PRI coming from Avaya...

network-clock-select 1 T1 0/1

If not, try adding them.

WIC slot is empty or does not support clock participate

router(config)#network-clock-select 1 T1 0/1

*** Slot 0 is configured not to participate in System Clocking.

Tried clocking to Line and it did the same thing, in fact the slips were more frequent set to LINE

Duh, had to swizzle the command for my layout and between the participate command and the clocking to line it looks like the slips are gone!
